An LA Fashionista in Austin: Western, Part II, EL Vintage

A dear friend of mine, Kristina McDaniel, just recently moved to Austin, Texas with her family.  Check out her amazing little fashion blog, lots of amazing finds, style tips, etc.
She is a client of EL Vintage and recently bought a 70s red vintage dress. Check it out!

I so dig it and love that EL Vintage inspires others to wear vintage and have fun doing photo shoots, etc.

Setting up for Vintage Trunk Party

Its quite fun to set up for a vintage party.  I have my whole house filled with incredible pieces that I am sure everyone will be so excited to buy.
With all that visual merchandising work experience, I thought I would put them in themes and actually hang the clothes on open gold frames on the wall.
Check out this theme...a summer afternoon at the cabin.
Vintage paintings and straw bags and hats always help too!  Cant wait for the party!

EL Vintage... Vintage and Bright Colors.

Just like clothing, I think it is so perfect and essential to fill your home with vintage items.
The more vintage, the more the home looks so unique and different from your average Pottery Barn decor.  Be bold and different with color as well.

For example, I painted my dining room a true orange.  Its incredible.
Look below... with vintage flea market 60s paintings and lamp.  Even the vintage pottery is colorful.

Check out my living room color, its a pea green yellow which works so well with chocolate brown and pale blues... Enjoy and be inspired.
